HIST 372 - U.S. - Latin American Relations Course examines developments of relationships between the United States and Latin America since late 18th century. Particular emphasis is given to Latin American independence movements, Mexican War, United States economic expansion in late 19th century, Spanish American War, Panama Canal, United States involvement in Mexican and Cuban revolutions, and effects of Cold War on relationships among the countries of the Americas.
