HIST 320 - U.S. West/Southwestern History Course focuses on and exposes students to concepts about the 19th century American West using the theme of expansionism. Course examines interactions between cultures and people in the West, the forces that produced a unique section of the country, creation of the mystic West and its enduring legacy, and how the present is linked to the past in the trans-Mississippi West.
