Note: *This map assumes student has COMP 150  placement in Composition. Students with different placements must work with advisors to adjust the map.

Note: **Media Elective courses are variable credit courses.  Student must complete a minimum of 3 Media Elective credits to satisfy this major requirement.

Note: ***ENGL 323  is only offered in the Fall semester of odd numbered years.  If not offered during student’s Fall Junior Year they should take an upper division free elective instead and plan to take ENGL 323  in Fall Senior Year (in place of one upper division free elective listed in Fall Senior Year).

Note: ****ENGL 324  is only offered in the Spring semester of even numbered years.  If not offered during student’s Spring Junior Year they should take an upper division free elective instead and plan to take ENGL 324  in Fall Senior Year (in place of one upper division free elective listed in Spring Senior Year).

Note: This map is a suggested course sequence. Please consult your academic advisor for alternate sequencing.

Note: Course choices may affect the number of free electives needed. In addition to major and LAC requirements, complete enough free electives to reach at least 120 total credits, including a minimum of 36 upper-division (300- and 400-level) credits.

Note: Students must earn 30 credits by the end of Year 1 to be classified as a Sophomore, 60 credits by the end of Year 2 to be a Junior, and 90 credits by the end of Year 3 to be a Senior. To meet these thresholds, some students may need to take additional credits beyond the suggested course sequence.
