WHY CHOOSE AN LAC CONCENTRATION?

There are several reasons to declare an LAC Concentration!

  • Taking an LAC Concentration allows you to identify connections between course requirements in different disciplines and develop skills in interdisciplinary thinking, which will help you in your major and in the workforce.
  • Taking an LAC Concentration helps you to recognize how the skills you learn in LAC courses are transferable to your professional and personal lives after college.
  • Taking an LAC Concentration allows you to expand your range of knowledge and skills beyond your major OR reinforce your interests within your major.
  • The capstone course allows you to apply the skills you learned in your LAC courses to an original project that shows your creativity, ingenuity, and depth of knowledge.
  • Employers overwhelming state they want employees with skills in critical thinking, oral and written communication, and teamwork and collaboration. An LAC Concentration will help you develop these skills.
