PSYC 302 - Forensic Psychology Examines the interaction of psychology and the legal system. Explores topics such as psychological testimony about insanity, competency to stand trial, child custody decision-making, future dangerousness, eyewitness testimony, and criminal profiling. Legal standards regarding psychology expert testimony will be discussed, and students will replicate various “classic” experiments in the emerging field of forensic psychology.
Prerequisites: PSYC 157 AND CO1 course
