BIO 320 - Fundamentals of Ecology A study of the relationships among organisms and their environments, at several different levels and scales. Provides an overview of the extremely diverse field of ecology, from the ecology of individual organisms and their adaptations to the environment, to the dynamics of populations and species interactions in ecological communities, and the intricacies of energy flow and nutrient cycling in ecosystems.

Prerequisites: (BIO 206 [minimum grade of C-] OR BIO 207 [minimum grade of C-]) AND BIO 260 (minimum grade of C-) AND MATH 121 AND MATH 132 OR concurrent enrollment in MATH 132
Class Level Restriction: Sophomore
Notes: Students who take BIO 245 will not receive credit toward graduation for BIO 320.
