CHEM 357 - Physical Chemistry II: Thermodynamics The course explores why chemical reactions occur, the nature of chemical equilibrium, the factors determining the speed of reactions and the role of temperature in reactions and equilibria. The laboratory will include design of experiments to measure physical properties and the analysis of data. These general techniques are applied in studies of thermochemistry and electrochemistry.
