HIST 151 - World Civilization II This course develops foundational knowledge and skills by studying development of world civilizations since 1500, emphasizing major stages in the interactions among different societies. Most of the world’s major civilizations are examined, including those in the Western tradition but also those sometimes neglected. Independent developments in each civilization are balanced with comparative analysis of the results of global contact.
