GEOL 210 - Petrology The study of igneous and metamorphic rocks in hand specimens and thin sections. An emphasis will be on the classification of different rock types and an understanding of rock associations. Topics will also explore the physical and chemical conditions involved in the origin and occurrence of igneous and metamorphic rocks.
